National Energy Award 2023 open for submission

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 30 (Bernama) -- The annual National Energy Awards (NEA) 2023 which is jointly organised by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and the Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation (MGTC) is now open for submission.

MGTC in a statement today said NEA 2023 is separated into three categories - Category 1 for Energy Management, Category 2 for Energy-efficient Buildings, and Category 3 for Renewable Energy - will represent Malaysia at the ASEAN Energy Awards (AEA).

“This award (NEA) aims to support sustainable energy practices while recognising and honouring industry players for their innovations as Malaysia transitions to a climate-conscious green economy.

“All NEA participants will also be provided guidelines and support via workshops and submission briefings, including one-on-one sessions to ensure a smooth submission process. The closing date for all submissions will be on Feb 24, 2023,” the statement read.

According to MGTC, Malaysian organisations that can demonstrate best practices or projects in Energy Efficient Buildings, Energy Management, and Renewable Energy (RE) are encouraged to participate in NEA 2023.
