Schneider Electric opens new service operation centre to accommodate growth

KUALA LUMPUR, May 17 (Bernama) -- Schneider Electric has announced its expansion plans and the opening of a new operation centre at Hicom-Glenmarie Industrial Park.

In a statement today, its field service sales and operations head Chan Jian Wen said that Malaysia's economic rebound offers new business opportunities in a key growth market with long-term digital potential.

“Our new service operation centre aims to ease business transformation journeys through digital customisation, simulation and optimisation, especially for Malaysian businesses with aged facilities.

“The company will work towards doubling its services in the next four years with 2022 as a pilot in providing enhanced digital solutions, consulting services and contracts to enterprises, aligning business growth strategies to Malaysia’s digital goals,” he said.

Chan said that with the new centre, the company is confident in delivering better value for their customers in driving continuous digital optimisation.

He added that the company intends to double its services and increase their service engineers and operational staff by 60 per cent by 2025.

“To achieve this, we will ensure our employees are equipped with the latest digital tools and provide them with continuous training in both technical and management skills.

“We will also create new job opportunities for Malaysians through the hiring of engineers and operational staff,” Chan said.
