KPower unit wins solar PV plant project worth RM104.97 mln

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 28 -- KPower Engineering Sdn Bhd (KPEng), a wholly owned subsidiary of KPower has accepted the letter of award from Fabulous Sunview Sdn Bhd (FSSB) for the proposed 50 Megawatt solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in Malaysia.

The construction company, mainly involved in sustainable energy and utilities activities, said the total contract sum of the project amounted to RM104.97 million.

It said the project is to perform and undertake the procurement of the equipment and materials, provision of logistics works, testing works and the maintenance of the equipment for the PV plant.

"KPEng has agreed to facilitate FSSB in procuring the issuance of a performance security by way of a bank guarantee (performance bond) for RM13.63 million.

"KPEng shall complete all the works to achieve the schedule completion date not later than Feb 28, 2023," it said in the filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

The company said the award is expected to contribute positively to the net assets, consolidated earnings, and earnings per share of the company for the financial year ending June 30, 2022 to June 30, 2023.
