Petronas’ inaugural FutureTalks to focus on energy transition

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 19 -- Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) is bringing together local and international industry thought leaders to its inaugural FutureTalks to engage in a series of conversations on energy transition as the world shifts towards a low-carbon future.

The two-day dialogue session from  Nov 23, 2021 will see the best minds from governments, as well as industry players, investors and innovators dive deep into the theme ‘Stewardship in Energy Transition’.

They will be sharing their insights and perspectives on various sustainability topics amid an accelerated energy transition, highlighting the decisive roles of technology and innovation in this journey.

“In our shift towards sustainable energy, this dialogue could not come at a better time as we reach a pivotal moment in our energy transition journey.

“We hope that our audience will benefit from the conversations and be inspired to protect our future prosperity by building a cleaner and better world for the generations to come,” Petronas senior vice-president of project delivery and technology Bacho Pilong said in a statement today. 

Participating in the discussions will be Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Economy) Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, Petronas president and group chief executive officer  Datuk Tengku Muhammad Taufik Tengku Aziz as well as leaders from multinationals and institutions. 

Petronas FutureTalks consists of six panel discussions which will include topics like climate change, innovation and digitalisation

Kerajaan tampung RM10.76 bilion subsidi bil elektrik dari Jan-Jun 2023

KUALA LUMPUR, 8 Mac (Bernama) -- Kerajaan akan menimbang bekerjasama dengan industri dalam usaha peralihan kepada tenaga hijau menerusi pemberian insentif dalam bentuk pembiayaan berstruktur dan bukan sebaliknya memberikan subsidi, kata Menteri Ekonomi Rafizi Ramli.
