PPB unit bags two contracts worth RM36 mln from Petronas Carigali

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 10 -- Perdana Petroleum Bhd’s (PPB) unit, Perdana Nautika Sdn Bhd (PNSB) has secured two contracts worth RM18 million each from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd for the provision of two units of Anchor Handling Tug and Supply (AHTS) Vessels.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia Monday, PPB said PNSB shall provide the AHTS vessels with crews and equipment to perform 24-hour services for assisting and servicing drilling rigs, offshore installation, derrick barges towing, and anchor jobs.

"The expiry date is up to 365 days from commencement date,” it said.

PPB said the contracts are expected to contribute positively to the earning and net assets of PPB Group for the financial years ending Dec 31, 2019 and thereafter within the duration of the contract.

"The contracts will not have effect on the share capital and shareholding structure of PPB,” it said.
