Polytechnic graduates considered pioneers in TVET sector

KUCHING, Dec 5 – Polytechnic graduates are the leaders in Technical Education and Vocational Training (TVET), said Kuching Polytechnic Industry Advisory Committee Chairman Datuk Dr Ir. Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah

He said this was because in their studies, graduates were exposed to the practical realities of the real world.

“Polytechnic graduates have extensive skills and meet the needs of the industry today.

"This is due to the combined efforts of the polytechnics and the industry in developing a more competent and competitive workforce, thus meeting the requirements of the Industrial Revolution 4.0," he said.

Mohd Abdul Karim who is also the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of  Serba Dinamik  Holdings Berhad, said this at a press conference after a handing over ceremony of a bus to Politeknik Kuching Sarawak director Jamaliah Ahmad.

The presentation of the bus was a Corporate Social Responsibilities initiative of  Serba Dinamik  Holdings Berhad to help Politeknik Kuching with their logistics, he said.
