Green Pit Stop initiatives help conserve environment via IoT

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 15  -- NY Design (M) Sdn Bhd, an incubatee of Technology Park Malaysia is encouraging environment conservation with go-green initiatives via its flagship brand, Green Pit Stop (GPS).

GPS is tapping Internet of Things (IoT) technology by integrating botanical science and arts towards improving creativity. 

The software application helps smartphone users remotely monitor requirements of humidity, sunlight, temperature and fertilisers towards maintaining the health of plants, using GPS-TAC, an innovative green solution.

GPS-TAC IoT farm was created with strong environmental awareness, aiming to create a generation that understands the green concept adding the IoT technology in GPS with audio and light sensor, a partnership project with Aspevo Tech.

The company reached out to participants at the 10th International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia 2019 recently.

The three-day event beginning Oct 9, was organised by the Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change (MESTECC), in collaboration with the Malaysian Greentech Corporation.

The green IoT platform was officially launched by the minister, Yeo Bee Yin.

Technology Park Malaysia Corporation, an agency of MESTECC, has an integrated infrastructure, facilities and support services to assist technopreneurs and entrepreneurs who are keen to commercialise their ideas in the four industry clusters, namely ICT, Engineering, Biotechnology and Green Technology.
