Icon Offshore bags contract to supply vessel to Petronas Carigali

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 11 -- Icon Offshore Bhd's (Icon) wholly-owned subsidiary, Icon Offshore Group Sdn Bhd (IOGSB), has bagged a contract valued at RM25.6 million from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd to supply an offshore support vessel.

In a statement today, the company said IOGSB accepted the two-year contract effective Aug 16, 2019 and the commencement date of the contract was on Aug 17, 2019.

It said the award is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of Icon for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2019 and beyond.

"We hope to secure more contracts by delivering value-added services to our clients and the market.

“Contract wins such as this continue to bolster the company’s credentials as Malaysia’s largest Offshore Support Vessel provider,” said Icon Offshore managing director Datuk Seri Hadian Hashim.

Year to date, the company has secured eight contracts worth RM174 million inclusive of an extension period.
