KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 27 -- Eighty pictures depicting Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB)’s 70-year history and its role in nation building, as well as 40 artworks of cultural heritage are on display at Galeri Prima, Bangsar starting from today until Sept 20.
TNB chairman Tan Sri Leo Moggie who launched the Art and Picture Exhibition, here today, said the exhibition aims to inform the public about TNB's journey and achievements over the past seven decades.
“The exhibition depicts TNB's 70-year journey as a utility company offering electricity supply services to the public.
"We hope visitors to the exhibition will be able to better understand TNB's contribution to national development as well as illuminating the lives of the people,” he told reporters at the event today.
TNB has undergone various transformations over the seven decades and has grown from strength to strength and now was ready to face future challenges, he added.
The artwork include paintings by renowned artists such as Datuk Mohamad Hoessein Enas, Datuk Syed Ahmad Syed Jamal, Datuk Ibrahim Hussein, Abdul Latiff Mohidin and Datuk Chuah Tean Teng.
Themed ‘Tribute to The Nation’s Pride by TNB’, the 25-day exhibition is open to the public from Monday to Friday (10 am to 6.00 pm) and on weekends (from 10 am to 5.00 pm).
