KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 23 -- Oil and gas service provider, Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd’s net profit for the second quarter ended June 30, 2019 (Q2 2019) rose to RM55.09 million from RM38.85 million recorded in the same period last year.
Revenue also increased to RM247.18 million versus RM221.28 million previously, due to higher vessel utilisation and work orders under topside maintenance contracts.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, it said basic earnings per share rose to 5.71 sen in Q2 2019 from 4.03 sen in Q2 2018.
“We remain optimistic that Dayang will return to its glorious days in the not-too-distant future as we carefully execute our long-term business plans.
“Nevertheless, the board will remain vigilant and continue to exercise due care and prudence in the running and administration of the company’s business,” it added.
