Serba Dinamik bags US$250.3 mln contract in Uzbekistan

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 13 (Bernama) --  Serba Dinamik  Holdings Bhd’s (SDHB) wholly-owned unit,  Serba Dinamik  International Ltd (SDIL), has secured an engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contract in Uzbekistan, worth US$250.3 million (US$1=RM4.20).

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, it said SDIL had entered into a contract with Hazarasp Chlor Alkali LLC FC for EPCC works for a chlorine processing plant and a steam turbine independent power plant in Khorezm, Uzbekistan.

The duration of the contract is from Aug 8, 2019 to Aug 7, 2021.

Meanwhile, another SDHB unit,  Serba Dinamik  Sdn Bhd (SDSB), has secured two operations and maintenance (O&M) contracts from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd to provide maintenance services for Weir Gas Compressor (up to June 9, 2020) and Capstone Microturbine Generator (up to June 17, 2022).

“The O&M contracts have no specific value as they are on a ‘call-out’ basis whereby the work orders will be awarded at the discretion of the clients based on its schedules and rates throughout the duration of the contracts.

"The contracts are expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2019,” it added.
