Serba Dinamik CEO lending expertise to PolyCC

KUCHING, July 3 (Bernama) --  Serba Dinamik  Holdings Bhd group managing director and chief executive officer (CEO), Datuk Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah, has been appointed PolyCC CEO and Politeknik Kuching industry advisory committee chairman for 2019-2020.

The appointment is expected to lead to collaborations as well as guidance on curriculum, teaching and learning strategies, assessment and more.

“We are hoping the knowledge transfer and expertise sharing between industry and the polytechnic will produce graduates who fulfil job market demands,” Politeknik Kuching director, Jamaliah Ahmad, told reporters today at a ceremony to present Mohd Abdul with his CEO@PolyCC appointment letter.

“To me, this is the best opportunity to share my experience and help elevate the educational system at polytechnics so that when students finish their schooling, they get to work in a field they studied,” said Mohd Abdul.

The ceremony also heralded a strategic partnership between Politeknik Kuching and 10 industry players and agencies – including Proaktif Electrical Sdn Bhd, Fujitsu Component (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, the Sarawak National Culture and Arts Department, Brooke Dockyard and Engineering Works Corporation and Here Malaysia Sdn Bhd – aimed at the sharing of know-how and effort in organising seminars, conferences and research development.
