VentureTECH inks RM10 mln strategic investment in CMC Group

KUALA LUMPUR, April 26 (Bernama) -- VentureTECH Sdn Bhd has sealed a RM10 million strategic investment in CMC Group Sdn Bhd to support the next stage of growth for the engineering and construction service provider in the public transportation, info-communication, and power and energy segments.

VentureTECH managing director Dr Norida Abdul Rahman said the investment in CMC Group was guided by the mission to build strong Malaysian businesses in the high value added and high growth industries capable of ensuring impactful socio-economic multiplier and benefits.

“Just like our other investee companies, we want to grow together with CMC Group, and will achieve that by leveraging on our value creation platform that focuses especially on helping our investee company to secure market and technology partners for business expansion,” she said in a statement today.

To further strengthen its footing both in the country and in the region, CMC Group is leveraging on its competitive profile to capture opportunities in the growing public transportation and info-communication sectors in Southeast Asia.

Additionally, for the same effort, CMC Group is also allocating more resources to its innovation centre to continuously produce value-added solutions to its clients. 

CMC Group chief executive officer Hazwan Alif Abdul Rahman said the company is committed to continue developing the Malaysian business ecosystem through various initiatives together with VentureTECH, such as vendor development and talent management programmes.
